The Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles is already looking into the case of convicted killer Daniel Perry. The board announced on Monday that it was considering the case at the request of Governor Abbott. Perry is a former U-S Army sergeant convicted last Friday of killing an armed protester in Austin during the 2020 riots. Abbott requested a pardon recommendation the next day. Perry's sentence for the murder of Garrett Foster hasn't yet been determined.
