The Rangers suffered their first loss of the season. Texas fell to the visiting Baltimore Orioles 2-0 in the series opener at Globe Life Field. Josh Jung recorded the sole hit of the game for Texas in the losing effort. Jon Gray was charged with the loss after allowing both runs and striking out seven in six-and-a-third. Josh Smith was sent to the hospital after being hit in the face by a pitch in the third inning. The Rangers will send lefty Andrew Heaney to the mound tonight against Baltimore.
