Texans have until Thursday of this week to register to vote in their local elections on May 6th. State law says eligible voters must be registered by the 30th day before Election Day. Many mayoral, city council, and school board elections are coming up next month. Texans can register to vote, or update their registration, through their county's voter registrar by filling out an application online or requesting a printed application. All applications must be submitted to the local election office and postmarked by April 6th.
