The Texas Longhorns have hired their new head basketball coach. ESPN is reporting that Rodney Terry has agreed to a five-year deal to lead Texas moving forward. Terry guided the Longhorns to a Big 12 tournament championship and an Elite Eight appearance with the interim title this season. Texas went 22-and-8 overall and 12-and-6 in conference play this season after Terry took over for former coach Chris Beard. This will be Terry's third head coaching job after seven seasons at Fresno State and three years at UTEP from 2011 to 2021.
