San Antonio is offering a new program to help music venues pay for noise reduction that will benefit their residential neighbors. The city's recent budget contains a $150,000 grant from the Economic Development Office to help small businesses make renovations to lower the decibel levels for those living nearby. About 20 businesses will be granted up to $7,500 each to help cover the cost of soundproofing or improved speaker systems. Applications for the grants will open March 27th.
