The wife of a man already jailed in connection to last week’s dog attack in San Antonio has now been arrested. The attack killed an 81-year-old man and seriously injured his wife.
The owner of the dogs, Christian Alexander Moreno, had already been arrested. Now his wife, Abilene Schnieder, has been arrested and will face charges in the case.
Police say Schnieder’s arrest comes after evidence indicated a shared ownership of the animals.
81-year-old Ramon Najera died from his injuries. His 74-year-old wife, Janie, and two other men were also injured. All three were treated and released from a hospital.
The three dogs were taken into SAACS custody from the location and euthanized.
