The Alamo Collections Center opens this week. It will be the first new building on the Alamo grounds since the 1950s when it opens to the public on Friday. A preview for members of Friends of the Alamo is scheduled for today. The two-story structure will showcase the Alamo Collection, the Donald and Louise Yena Spanish Colonial Collection, and the Phil Collins Collection. The collections will move to the Alamo Visitor Center and Museum when it opens in 2026. After that, the Alamo Collections Center will feature traveling exhibits.
