Former state Sen. Wendy Davis is returning to the Texas Capitol as senior adviser to Planned Parenthood Texas Votes. Davis is joining the group's fundraising and advocacy arm at a time when abortion has been outlawed in Texas. Planned Parenthood has been removed from the Medicaid program, and the state is trying to sue their clinics out of existence. Davis is now part of an effort to block, and ultimately reverse, many of the pro-life policies Texas Republicans have enacted.
