The Deer Park company that reportedly plans to dispose of toxic waste water from the Ohio train derailment is responding to the EPA for pausing their operation. An executive for Texas Molecular says they have a permit that allows them to dispose of more than 230 million gallons of waste water a year. He says they process between five and seven million gallons each month. On Saturday, the EPA temporarily halted the operation in response to complaints from Harris County elected officials. The company spokesman says their permit doesn't require them to alert authorities ahead of time.
