San Antonio is remembering the Alamo with a series of events through March 6th, the 187th anniversary of the battle. The Commemoration Opening Ceremony was on Thursday at Alamo Plaza, marking the start of the 12-day siege that led up to the battle. Coming up this weekend is Family Day at the Alamo, featuring a cannon crew simulation, interactive history, and games. The free event is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday.
