San Antonio firefighters battled a large fire at a southeast side pawn shop early this morning. The blaze broke out about 2:30 a.m. at the EZ Pawn Shop off Goliad Road near Southeast Military Drive. The location of the pawn shop, which is situated between two gas stations, caused additional risks for firefighters as the battled the fire for more than an hour.
The building was demolished. An investigation is underway to determine what caused the blaze.
