The city manager of Austin, Texas is fired. City council members voted to terminate Spencer Cronk this morning following the winter storm that left more than a hundred-thousand people without power. Mayor Kirk Watson said the city's response to the storm was "unacceptable," and blamed management along with a lack of communication for leaving residents in the dark. Former city manager Jesus Garza will return to the role on an interim basis while the council looks for a permanent replacement.
