The San Antonio Police Department is laying out its plan to reduce violent crime in a series of public meetings. Community members attended one of the meetings on Monday night. Police Chief William McManus says the department's work with UTSA professors has identified more than two dozen crime hotspots around the city. Officers will concentrate on these areas to deter crooks. The next meeting is on Thursday evening at Second Baptist Church, followed by one on Monday evening at McCreless Library.
