Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is agreeing to a $3 million court settlement with four agency whistleblowers who sued him. The tentative settlement agreement filed with the state Supreme Court on Friday says Paxton will also apologize for describing them as "rogue employees." Since the suit was against the Office of the Attorney General, taxpayer money will probably be used to pay the settlement. The Legislature may have to approve a request for the funds.
