A San Antonio city councilman is proposing a measure to help hold roadwork contractors accountable for delays in completing projects. District 1 Councilman Mario Bravo recommended on Monday that the missed deadline fine amount should be increased from its current levels of 700 to two-thousand dollars a day. Bravo also said the fines should be distributed to local businesses that are affected by roadwork that interferes with their customer flow. He said contractors should be rewarded for finishing jobs ahead of schedule.
