The Mavericks are adding an All-Star to the roster. Dallas is acquiring Kyrie Irving from the Brooklyn Nets to team up with Luka Doncic. According to ESPN, the Mavs are sending Dorian Finney-Smith, Spencer Dinwiddie, an unprotected 2029 first round pick and second round picks in 2027 and 2029 to the Nets in exchange for Irving and Markieff Morris. The 30-year-old is averaging 27.1 points, 5.1 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game this season. He is expected to make his debut with the team Wednesday in LA against the Clippers.
