Green Comet Not Seen Since Stone Age Appears Tonight

A comet that last streaked over the Earth in the Stone Age is making a comeback. The green comet will pass by Earth on February 1st, 50-thousand years after its last fly-by. It could be visible tonight, but if viewing conditions aren't ideal where you are, the Virtual Telescope Project will begin a livestream at 11 p.m. Eastern Time. Experts believe the comet will be visible to the naked eye by the third week of January.
