The Cowboys are trying to stay alive in the race for the top seed in the NFC playoff field. Dallas takes on the Commanders on Sunday in Landover. The Cowboys could clinch the number-one seed in the NFC with a win over Washington and losses by the Eagles and 49ers this weekend. Dallas comes off a 27-13 win over the Titans on Thursday Night Football and is currently the fifth seed in the NFC with a 12-and-4 record. The Commanders won't be battling for a potential playoff spot after being eliminated from playoff contention last week. Washington fell to the Browns 24-10 and dropped to 7-8-and-1. The team did make a switch at quarterback this week as rookie Sam Howell is set to start against Dallas. Taylor Heinicke will serve as his backup, with Carson Wentz being inactive.
