Texas Tech is giving its' head football coach a raise. Joey McGuire has agreed to a new six-year, $26.6 million contract to continue leading the Red Raiders' program. The deal gives McGuire a pay increase of about $1 million per season. McGuire led Texas Tech to a 7-and-5 regular season record during his first season in Lubbock. The team closed out the regular season on a three-game win streak for the first time since 1995. The new deal for McGuire runs through the 2028 season.
