A federal court ruling last week will make it difficult for Texas teenagers to get birth control without parental permission. U.S. District Judge Matthew Kacsmaryk ruled that Title Ten violates parents' rights and state and federal law. The federal program provides free confidential contraception to anybody, without regard to age, income or immigration status. President Donald Trump appointed Kacsmaryk to the bench in 2019. Kacsmaryk's ruling is expected to be appealed.
