The Border Patrol is reporting more than 1,500 migrants crossed the Rio Grande from Juarez into El Paso on Sunday night. Chihuahua State Police had escorted a caravan of 20 busloads of migrants from Jimenez to Juarez earlier in the day. The migrants claimed to be from Nicaragua, Ecuador, and Peru. Border Patrol facilities and other shelters in El Paso are already overfilled, so hundreds of migrants were released on the streets.
