Texas State head coach Jake Spavital is out of a job after another unsuccessful season. The university fired Spavital on Sunday, the day after the Bobcats ended the season with a 41-13 home loss to Louisiana. The 37-year-old coach had one year remaining on his five-year contract. Spavital had an overall record of 13-35 in his four years at TSU, including 4-8 this season. The Bobcats haven't been to a bowl game in eleven years. Texas State athletic director Don Coryell says the search for Spavital's successor is already underway.
