Justin Verlander has been named the American League's Comeback Player of the Year. Last week, Verlander was named the winner of the A.L.'s Cy Young Award. The Houston Astros starter led the A.L. in several categories including wins with 18 and ERA with 1.75. Verlander had missed the previous two seasons due to Tommy John surgery. In the National League, Cardinals' D.H. Albert Pujols took home the hardware.
