Abbott Wants Homeland Security Secretary Impeached Over Border Crisis

Now that the GOP has a majority in the House of Representatives, Gov. Greg Abbott is demanding action over the Biden administration's border policy. The newly reelected governor has spent more than four-billion-dollars on Operation Lone Star to secure the border, and has sent more than 300 busloads of migrants to northern sanctuary cities. Abbott is calling for the impeachment of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas. He also says 87-thousand new IRS agents should be defunded and replaced with new border agents.
