Facebook's parent company says it plans to sublease the office space it leased in a new 66-story office tower being built in downtown Austin. Meta Platforms signed a lease last year to occupy more than 500,000 square feet in the mixed-use tower, known as Sixth and Guadalupe because of its address. The social media company now says it plans to sublease the space instead of occupying it. The tower will be the tallest in Austin when it opens in the spring, although a 74-story building is already under construction.
