A voting advocacy group -- the Texas Organizing Project -- is suing Bexar County over the number of polling places being proposed for next month's elections. The group says the county has proposed the fewest number of polling places ever planned for an election in the county. for the election. State law mandates that there be half the number of polling places as there are precincts. Bexar County has 766 precincts, which means there should be at least 388 polling sites but the county is planning only 267 sites.
