More random inspections are happening at schools across Texas. Hundreds of intruder detection audits have been completed in less than four weeks, aimed at keeping students safe. Governor Greg Abbott ordered them after the Uvalde massacre to see how easily someone could get into a school. The audits are also looking at visitor procedures and making sure districts are doing weekly exterior door sweeps. The May 24th mass shooting at Robb Elementary left 19 children and two teachers dead after the gunman was able to access the school from an exterior door that was not locked.
