The Texas parole board is clearing the way for this week's execution of John Henry Ramirez. He was convicted of killing a convenience store worker in a robbery that netted him a little over one-dollar. The victim was stabbed 29 times. The case went all the way to the Supreme Court because of his request for a pastor to lay a hand on him as he dies. That will be allowed during Wednesday's execution.
