Changes to college athletics allow players to get paid to use their name, image or likeness. San Antonio's largest advertising agency, The PM Group, is stepping up to help UTSA attract top athletes.
The PM Group's founder and CEO Bob Wills, along with COO Fran Yaniti, presented a check for $360,000 with a commitment of $275,000 a year for the next three years. Wills challenged other local businesses step up and do the same to support the Roadrunners through an NIL campaign.
"San Antonio has a great history of winning NBA championships with the Spurs, however now is the time for the city to strive for top-tiered college sports championships," said Wills.
Wills complimented UTSA Head Football Coach Jeff Traylor saying, "there's a man at the helm that is pretty incredible and I want to give him the chance to do great things for our city."
