August home sales in the San Antonio area were down for the fifth month in a row, as home prices continue to rise. The San Antonio Board of Realtors says nearly 3,300 homes were sold in San Antonio last month, down 13% from the figure of more than 3,700 sales in August 2021. SABOR's Chairman of the Board says nearly 99% of the latest listings sold for their list price. The average price topped $391,000, up 13% from just over $348,000 in August 2021.
