A new poll indicates Gov. Greg Abbott still holds a seven-point lead over Democratic challenger Beto O'Rourke. More than 13-hundred likely voters responded last month to the survey by the University of Houston and Texas Southern University. The poll shows 49-percent say they would vote for Abbott, while 42-percent say they would vote for O'Rourke, with another seven-percent undecided. O'Rourke has tried to attract wavering Republicans, but it hasn't worked. The poll says 93-percent of Republicans plan to vote for Abbott.
