Week Two of the college football season is coming up and the Texas Longhorns are preparing for a visit from Alabama.
The Longhorns are coming off a 52-10 win over Louisiana-Monroe. The Crimson Tide is coming off a 55-0 win over Utah State.
In looking back to the LA-Monroe victory, Head Coach Steve Sarkisian says he was pleased with the outcome of the game, but there are areas that need improvement. "It was not perfect. We have plenty to work on," said Sarkisian. "Clearly in the kicking game, the mishaps with the snaps has got to get cleaned up, which I think we will handle that."
"I thought defensively we really played hard," said Sarkisian. "We populated the ball, got a lot of hats to the ball. There were a lot of positives."
Sarkisian said after the first drive, the offense executed well outside of the finishing drive in the second quarter where there were some unforced errors.
Up next, the Longhorns host the Crimson Tide. Kickoff is set for 11 a.m. on Saturday. The game can be heard live on News Radio 1200 WOAI.
