The Texans had a busy day with their practice squad additions. Houston brought back quarterback Jeff Driskel, tight end Jordan Akins and running back Marlon Mack to its practice squad. Mack was a surprise release when the Texans cut down their roster to 53 players. Houston also released running back Royce Freeman on Wednesday after claiming receiver Tyler Johnson from waivers from the Buccaneers. The Texans open Week One against the Colts on September 11th.
