San Antonio school districts are dealing with a shortage of school bus drivers. Districts are removing bus routes and kids are facing longer wait times. Drivers for Northside ISD have been doubling up on some routes, and so far the district hasn't made serious cuts to the route schedule. The district needs to hire about 80 drivers. North East ISD has 42 vacant driver positions and is trying not to cut routes. Both districts are interested in recruiting drivers, and both offer incentives and training for interested applicants.
