The Cowboys are trimming their roster down to the required 53-man limit. Dallas released a number of players as it gears up for its regular season opener against the Buccaneers on September 11th. Among the notable releases were quarterbacks Cooper Rush and Will Grier, which leaves Dallas with only Dak Prescott on the roster. The Cowboys also cut their lone kicker Brett Maher. The team will likely bring back a few of those players as they can utilize the short-term injured reserve today.
