Texas State University officials are reporting that a member of its community has tested positive for monkeypox. They made the announcement on Tuesday without saying whether the infected person is a student or a faculty member. The Hays County Local Public Health Department is identifying and contacting anybody who was in close contact with the patient. University officials say the person lives off campus and will remain in isolation until the symptoms clear up.
