C.J. Cron mashed a three-run home run as the Rockies edged the Rangers 7-6 in Denver. Cron hit the go-ahead blast in the seventh inning to help Colorado improve to 54-and-70. Elias Diaz also homered and finished with a pair of hits in the victory. Justin Lawrence collected the win in relief, while Daniel Bard secured his 26th save of the season. Brock Burke suffered the loss in relief for Texas, which fell to 56-and-67. Marcus Semien and Nathaniel Lowe each went deep in the losing effort.
