Texas confirms it carried out its second execution of the year Wednesday night. Kosoul Chanthakoummane was pronounced dead at 6:33 p.m. local time. He had been convicted in the 2006 murder of Dallas real estate agent Sarah Walker. Family members of Walker were not in attendance, but Chanthakoummane addressed them by saying, "I pray my death will bring them peace." DNA evidence showed Chanthakoummane's blood throughout the model home where the murder took place, but he had maintained his innocence and had filed an appeal to delay his execution.
