Northside ISD is interested in hiring more substitute teachers. The city's largest school district makes use of substitutes to deal with a chronic teacher shortage. The district has vacant positions for all kinds of substitutes. A high school diploma is the minimum requirement to be hired. Applicants with college hours or a college degree can be paid more. Northside ISD offers substitutes flexible schedules, training, and $110 to $150 a day.
