The Cowboys are bringing back a familiar face to their kicking unit. Dallas reportedly signed kicker Brett Maher on Tuesday after he worked out for the team. In a corresponding move, the Cowboys waived undrafted rookie Jonathan Garibay, who struggled to make kicks in training camp. The 32-year-old Maher will battle Lirim Hajrullahu [[ HIGH-roo-lah-hoo ]] for the starting job. Maher was the Cowboys' starting kicker in 2018 and 2019. The Cowboys start the preseason this Saturday night against the Broncos in Denver.
