San Antonio and Bexar County are dedicating a combined $32 million to providing more local high-speed Internet. County commissioners voted unanimously on Tuesday to allocate $25 million of American Rescue Plan Act funds for expanded Internet access. San Antonio has already earmarked $7 million for the same project. The upgrades will go to 37 areas of the county and city where unavailable or substandard access made working and schooling from home more difficult during the pandemic.
