Local school districts are hurrying to fill hundreds of teaching positions as classes start this month. Northside ISD, the fourth-largest district in Texas, held its annual new teacher training on Monday at Brandeis High School. Northside has 260 vacant teaching positions across its 120 campuses. Officials with North East ISD say they're dealing with 180 teacher vacancies, and San Antonio ISD has 80 positions to fill. A sort-term partial solution is to increase the size of classes.
