The principal of Robb Elementary School in Uvalde -- Mandy Gutierrez -- calls a Texas House Report that faulted policies and procedures at the school prior to the mass shooting in May unfair and inaccurate. Gutierrez was placed on paid administrative leave this week. As part of her paid leave, she has been asked to turn in clarifications to the July 17th House report. The shooting left 19 students and two teachers dead. In a statement from her attorney, Gutierrez says doors were locked and checked by custodial staff each night and that teachers must unlock the doors every morning -- as she says was done the morning of the shooting. Regarding one teacher's statement that he had complained about the door to the classroom where the shooting occurred not locking, Gutierrez says the teacher was wounded in the shooting and may not clearly remember if the door was locked.
