Jon Gray tossed a gem to lead the Rangers to an 8-0 win over the Miami Marlins at LoanDepot Park. Gray scattered four hits over six scoreless innings to earn his seventh win of the season. Adolis Garcia went two-for-five with a home run and three RBI, while Leody Taveras drove in a pair of runs. Texas improves to 42-and-49 and sits seven games back of the final AL Wild Card spot. The Rangers send Spencer Howard to the mound when they visit the A's tonight. In other team news, Texas signed fourth-round pick Brock Porter and 11th-round pick Kohl Drake to contracts yesterday.
