Democratic gubernatorial candidate Beto O'Rourke is continuing his 49-day "Drive for Texas" tour ahead of this year's election. The tour kicked off on Tuesday in O'Rourke's hometown of El Paso. On Thursday he spoke in Lubbock and Snyder, and today the tour moves on to Muleshoe and Amarillo. O'Rourke is emphasizing gun control, abortion, and education as he tours 65 Texas cities in his challenge to incumbent Republican Gov. Greg Abbott. The former congressman has also run failed campaigns for the U.S. Senate and the White House.
