Two Indicted For Human Smuggling Incident That Killed 53 Illegals

Two men are under federal indictment for last month's human smuggling incident in which 53 people died in a hot trailer. The jury indicted 46-year-old Homero Zamorano Jr. and 26-year-old Christian Martinez. They're charged with conspiracy to transport illegal immigrants resulting in death, transportation of illegals resulting in death, conspiracy to transport illegals resulting in serious bodily injury and placing lives in jeopardy, and transportation of illegals resulting in serious bodily injury and placing lives in jeopardy. If convicted, they could face the death penalty.
