The Texas Department of Public Safety is launching an investigation into their response to the Uvalde school shooting. A D-P-S committee will begin an internal review into the actions of 91 troopers and Rangers at Robb Elementary School, where a gunman barricaded himself in a classroom for over an hour before he was confronted. The department says the review will also look into how D-P-S can improve their response to future mass casualty incidents. The announcement of the investigation comes one day after a Texas House committee reported "systemic failures" by local, state, and federal officers that responded to the shooting.
