Josh Smith hit an inside-the-park home run as the Rangers fended off the Athletics 10-8 in Arlington. Smith became the third ever Rangers player to record his first career homer via an inside-the-parker. Corey Seager also homered for Texas, which improved to 40-and-44. Spencer Howard got the win after allowing two runs, one earned, over five frames and Brett Martin secured his third save. The Rangers send right-hander
Glenn Otto to the mound tonight. In some other team news, shortstop Corey Seager was named the American League Player of the Week on Monday.
