Local synagogues and organizations were notified on Saturday morning of a potential threat against Jewish gatherings in the San Antonio area.
The Jewish Federation of San Antonio said it had received information from the FBI on a potential threat being made towards the community that pushed them to suspend all formal Jewish gatherings.
"The Jewish Federation of San Antonio received information from the FBI identifying a potential threat to an unconfirmed Jewish community facility in the San Antonio area."
Later in the day, the Jewish Federation of San Antonio said it had received an update from the FBI that there was no longer an "imminent threat," although they recommended staying vigilant and aware of surroundings. "We are pleased to share the urgency of concern has been lowered," said the Jewish Federation.
