San Antonio is now operating a Migrant Resource Center to handle large numbers of asylum-seekers being bussed up from the border. The center opened on Thursday in a former CPS Energy customer service building on San Pedro Avenue near North Loop 410. Nearly 200,000 migrants processed by federal authorities have passed through San Antonio since April 2021. About 600 arrive in town every day, and the city says 500 need a place to stay the night. The center will provide the resources they need to get where they're going.
